HTC Legend remembered.

Well, i guess this is going to be a very good news for some.
Specially the proud owners of the HTC Legend who officially got frustrated waiting forever for their sexy all unibody aluminum work of art “aka: HTC Legend” to got a taste of Froyo.
regardless of the already available ports and builds of Froyo floating around the internet “specially at XDA Developers”.

Still nothing come close to official build with all of it’s glory and optimization “or at least it a personal point of view”

so here it is, the official Froyo for HTC Legend which is as available in english.

click here to download courtesy of “shipped-roms.com”

note of the link doesn’t do the trick you can navigate to www.shipped-roms.com and dig it out.

Nexus S Rooting….Done

The Nexus S have been released for a few hours now and “boom” here it’s rooted and ready to go. thank to XDA member “Koush” for his great work.

the rooting process as mentioned on XDA Developers is pretty straight forward and simple, all you need is a little bit of ADB magic, some previous experience with rooting android devices & some files.

So, if your a lucky one who already got their hands on a Nexus S and wanna get rooting busy go ahead and check the Nexus S rooting guide here courtesy of  XDA Developers

App Inventor now open for all

Google App Inventor is no longer a closed beta.
The App Inventor makes it easy to create your own Android-App without coding knowledge. Just drag & drop the elements you want to use to build your app. You can follow every step directly on your phone. After your app is finished, let the App Inventor build your apk or just push it directly to your phone.

Take a look at the video, visit the page at googlelabs, set up your pc and start with one of the well explained tutorials – But please: No more soundboards!

Android Market Update

If you compare Android devices with the Apple iPhone, in my opinion there is only ONE weak point about the android software: the market client.

Since the Apple Appstore has a clear structure, and makes it easy to find what you are looking for, the android market is one big chaos: There are thousands of soundboards, themes, wallpaper packs and similar apps which are making it difficult to rummage in the client, finding the apps you are searching for.

So I was glad to read that – according to the blog at android developers – a new version of the android market will be released soon.
Since the last updates only had minor changes, this one seems to be rebuilt completely.

What changes can be expected?

  • New UI (including a scrollable carousel to see promoted apps)
  • New Category: Widgets
  • New Category: Live Wallpaper
  • Further Categories will be implemented in near future
  • Only one detail page per app (similar apps and reviews are included in this page)
  • Several changes for developers

The new market will be released within the next 2 weeks and should work on any android device running android 1.6 or higher.

Who doesn’t want to wait, can grab the apk here and flash it :)
